Taste & texture
Weydeland 48+ Jong has a soft and creamy taste with a mild note. Thanks to the short ripening period of approximately 4 weeks, the cheese remains extra creamy and easy to slice. Ideal for anyone who likes an approachable Dutch cheese without a sharp aftertaste.
Made in the Beemster, ripened in Woerden
The milk comes from North Holland cows that graze outdoors as soon as possible. CONO Kaasmakers in the Beemster makes cheese from it, after which the cheese is carefully ripened in Woerden.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you cut the cheese yourselves?
Yes, we cut all the cheeses ourselves—and only when the order comes in. That way, they always stay fresh.
Can you ship cheese?
Yes, (Weydeland) cheese can be shipped without any problems, provided it is packaged properly. This is why we always vacuum-pack the cheese and include free cheese paper to extend its shelf life.
How can I keep cheese fresh for as long as possible?
Take the vacuum-packed cheese out of the refrigerator one hour before consumption and allow it to come to room temperature. Once the cheese is at room temperature, open the packaging and discard it. After (partially) consuming the cheese, wrap it in the provided cheese paper. Then refrigerate the cheese again. Once the cheese has been finished, discard the cheese paper to prevent cross-contamination.
Is your cheese lactose-free?
Yes and no. Some cheeses contain lactose and others do not. The entire Weydeland range is lactose-free and can therefore be eaten by people with lactose intolerance. Do you have questions about which cheeses contain lactose? Then contact us!
Where does Weydeland cheese come from?
Weydeland cheese is made from milk from the North Holland Beemster polder. Cono makes the cheese, and then the cheese is aged in the Treur Kaas warehouse in Woerden. Here, the cheese lies on wooden shelves aging until it reaches the proper stage of maturation.
