1. What data do we process
- Name, address, email address and phone number, when you place an order or contact us.
- Order details, including ordered products, delivery address and order history.
- Payment details: payments are processed via Shopify Payments. We do not store any credit card or bank details ourselves.
- Technical data such as IP address, browser type and click behavior on our website, via cookies and similar technologies.
2. What do we use this data for
- Processing, delivering and handling your order, including customer service for questions or complaints.
- Complying with legal obligations, such as our tax record-keeping obligation.
- Managing and securing our website.
We do not send marketing or newsletter emails. You will only receive transactional emails from us, such as an order confirmation or shipping confirmation.
3. Cookies
Our website currently only uses functional cookies, which are necessary for the webshop to work properly (such as your shopping cart). We do not currently use analytical or marketing cookies.
In the future, we may start using additional cookies or similar technologies, for example for website analysis or advertising. If this happens, we will update this privacy policy and, where required by law, ask for your permission in advance. You can always refuse or remove cookies via your browser settings.
4. Who do we share data with
- Shopify, our webshop platform, for hosting and technically managing the website and processing orders.
- Shopify Payments, for processing payments.
- Parcel services such as PostNL, DHL, DPD or another courier service, for delivering your order.
- Our bookkeeper or accountant, if necessary for our administration.
We never sell your personal data to third parties. With parties that process personal data on our behalf, we enter into data processing agreements where required by law. If we use additional service providers in the future, for example for website analysis or marketing, we will update this list.
5. Retention period
We do not retain personal data longer than necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, unless a longer retention period is required by law.
6. Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data. In addition, you have the right to withdraw any consent you may have given for data processing, object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. You can send a request to this effect to info@kaasenborrelz.nl. We will respond as quickly as possible, within four weeks at the latest.
You also have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
7. Security
We take appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against loss or unlawful processing, including by using a secure (SSL) connection via our Shopify platform.
8. Changes
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The most current version will always be available on this page.
