Mont Vélan Raclette Cheese – 2 Slices of 100 Grams
Fancy some warm, melted cheese? Mont Vélan Raclette Cheese is a Swiss mountain cheese specially made for melting. You get 2 thick slices of 100 grams (200 grams in total), freshly cut and vacuum-packed. Just right for a cozy raclette evening for two, or to take along to a party.
What Is Raclette Cheese?
Raclette is both the name of a cheese and a dish from Switzerland. Traditionally, half a wheel of cheese was held by the fire, after which the melted top layer was scraped off: racler means to scrape. Today, you simply melt the cheese in a raclette pan. Mont Vélan Raclette is a Swiss cheese made from pasteurized cow's milk with excellent melting properties: it becomes creamy and gooey without separating.
Taste: Full-Bodied, Slightly Spicy, and Gooey
When melted, this raclette cheese has a full-bodied, slightly spicy mountain cheese flavor and a deliciously gooey texture. Thanks to its rectangular shape, the cheese is easy to cut into thick slices that fit perfectly in a raclette pan.
The Perfect Match for the Boska Raclette Pan
This raclette cheese is a perfect match for the Boska Partyclette ToGo Milano raclette pan. The pan is heated with three tealight candles, so you don't need electricity. Place a slice of cheese in the pan, let it melt for a few minutes, and scrape the cheese over your dish with the spatula. Ideal for enjoying on the couch, on the patio, or during a picnic.
What to Serve With Raclette Cheese?
- Boiled baby potatoes or new potatoes
- Baguette or a hearty sourdough bread
- Gherkins and silver onions, the classic Swiss combination
- Nachos or tortilla chips
- Grilled vegetables, such as zucchini, bell peppers, and mushrooms
- Over a burger or a piece of meat
How Much Raclette Cheese Do You Need?
Allow about 100 grams of raclette cheese per person as a side dish or for snacks, and 150 to 200 grams per person if raclette is the main meal. One pack of 2 slices is therefore ideal for two people.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you cut the cheese yourselves?
Yes, we cut all the cheeses ourselves—and only when the order comes in. That way, they’re always fresh.
Can you ship cheese?
Yes, our cheese is vacuum-packed by default and can withstand quite a bit.
How can I keep cheese fresh for as long as possible?
Take the vacuum-packed cheese out of the refrigerator one hour before consumption and allow it to come to room temperature. Once the cheese is at room temperature, open the packaging and discard it. After (partially) consuming the cheese, wrap it in the provided cheese paper. Then refrigerate the cheese again. Once the cheese has been finished, discard the cheese paper to prevent cross-contamination.
Is your cheese lactose-free?
Yes and no. Some cheeses contain lactose and others do not. The entire Weydeland range is lactose-free and can therefore be eaten by people with lactose intolerance. Do you have questions about which cheeses contain lactose? Then please contact us!
Where does your hard cheese come from?
Our hard cheese comes from the Netherlands (Beemster), France, Switzerland and Italy. We import the Parmesan cheese ourselves directly from the farmer.
