    What is Weydeland cheese?

    Weydeland cheese is a North Holland premium quality cheese. What makes this cheese so special is its unsurpassed creaminess and refined taste. Weydeland Cheese is prepared with vegetarian rennet. The ingredient for this is the fresh milk from our Dutch cows, which forms the basis for the soft and creamy taste of Weydeland. Weydeland is made in a traditional manner and according to a traditional recipe by CONO Kaasmakers located in Midden-Beemster (North Holland).     • Weydeland cheese is made entirely from pasture milk. This means that cows spend at least 120 days a year in the meadow in the North Holland Beemsterpolder. On average, these cows spend no less than 176 days in the meadow, which is much longer than the average.
    • Ripening the cheese takes time and is done carefully. The warehouse has a constant temperature and humidity, air circulation is controlled and the cheeses are stored on wooden shelves. The unique ripening conditions determine the taste of the Weydeland cheese.
    • The Weydeland cheese is made in the CONO factory in the Beemster polder and is made using vegetarian rennet that absorbs all the glucose from the cheese. Very tasty for vegans and those with a glucose allergy.

    How do you deliver cheese?

    We always have the cheese delivered by PostNL or DPD. We always cut the cheese fresh and then vacuum-pack the pieces. The advantage of this is that the cheese is then stored in an airtight environment. This stops the ripening process and prevents mold formation and dehydration. This means that the cheese can be eaten in a refrigerator for several months after purchase. The cheese is always packed in a sturdy box and is often shipped the same day. In addition, each piece of cheese comes with free cheese paper to store the cheese in.
