Cold cuts are an absolute winner on the drinks platter! Think of tasty salami, spicy chorizo, soft ham and luxurious prosciutto – each one full of character. Dry sausage gives a firm bite, while thinly sliced ham remains nice and light and refined. Combine them with cheeses, crackers and fresh snacks such as olives or fruit, and you have a platter that everyone will enjoy. Cut the cold cuts neatly into thin slices, that looks nice and is easy to grab. A mix of cold cuts is a hit for every occasion, and they go perfectly with both a good glass of beer and wine. Enjoy!

    Our products

The range at Kaas & Borrelz consists of selected cold cuts that are produced with the utmost attention to people and animals. The grilled sausages come from Jan van Ee; this is a poulterer from Stroe. Jan van Ee is therefore known in the region for its quality. Sausage maker van Rhee from Uddel has been providing the dry sausages for years. Kaas & Borrelz is the exclusive supplier of Leicoma. This is lean pork from Germany. This exclusive brand is only available at Kaas & Borrelz.

White layer on the dried sausage

That white layer on dried sausage, that is pure craftsmanship! It is a natural mold layer, usually from *Penicillium*, that develops during ripening. This protects the sausage from unwanted molds and ensures that the sausage dries nicely, without sacrificing flavor. It also helps to develop that intense, full flavor that enthusiasts love. And yes, it is completely safe to eat! With some sausages you can remove it, but if you ask me, it is part of it. It is a sign of craftsmanship and quality - exactly as it should be!

    How do you ship sausages?

This varies per sausage. For example, the grilled sausage is always shipped vacuum-packed. This is to preserve the flavor and also applies to the salami sausages. However, the dried sausage is never vacuum-packed, because this disrupts the ripening process. For this reason, dried sausages are always wrapped in paper or plastic.
