Lees meerOns Genot is a traditional cheese that is prepared at a small-scale cheese factory. The fresh milk comes from 300 cows that graze on 150 hectares of grassland. The farmer only gives the cows the best food. He uses almost no concentrates and the cows mainly eat grass from their own land. Special types of grass have been sown here that have a higher protein and sugar content, so that the milk becomes a little sweet. In combination with a special starter culture, a cheese is created with a particularly fruity taste.
Ons Genot is matured in our warehouse for no less than 6 months. Then the taste is optimal. After ripening, this cheese gets a red rind for a recognizable appearance. Ons Genot is a cheese with a rich taste, a bit sweet and loved by everyone!

The Cheese Factory of the Klaver family can be found in Winkel, North Holland since 1977. A beautiful location between the North Sea and the IJsselmeer, known for its salty and rich clay soil. The grass that grows from this is wonderfully tender and that makes the cheese so particularly creamy and pure. In 2001, the characteristic bell-shaped farmhouse was exchanged for the current modern cheese factory. No one noticed the change in terms of taste, but they did notice the service! In 2006, Klaver Kaas also chose to use a modern warehouse. The ripening of the cheese is even better achieved in this warehouse.
Spread over 2 locations, Klaver has approximately 400 cows and 2,100 goats that frolic freely in the meadow and have access to a comfortable stable. The animals on the farm are healthy and happy. This is the best basis for the tastiest cheese! Together with them, the Klaver family makes many different cheeses, each unique in taste. The pure taste is created by the natural feeding of the animals and the traditional process of cheese making.
