This beautiful farm cheese is made from full thermized cow's milk and you can taste it. A beautiful cheese with beautiful ripening crystals thanks to the 9-month ripening period in our warehouse. The taste and dairy of this farm cheese is full, strong and deliciously spicy.

Farm De Jongenhoeve

The De Jongenhoeve farm has been in the family for 100 years! In 1916 Leendert Boer bought this farm for his son Gerrit and daughter-in-law Jacoba. In the summer cheese was made here. In 1938, daughter Grietje married Floor de Jong and they continued the farm. They had a son together, named Leendert de Jong. He and his wife took over the farm from his parents in 1973.

The cheese factory had stood still for some years, but it was restarted in 1975 by Leen and Ineke de Jong. In the beginning, cheese was only made in the summer. But when the 3 children (Margriet, Floor and Lianne) grew up, there was more time and from then on cheese was made all year round.

Cheese shop

A cheese shop was also added to the farm. Son Floor de Jong and his wife Evelyne currently live on the farm. His parents Leen and Ineke can also be found on the farm every day and are still working hard to prepare and sell delicious Gouda Farmer's Cheese!

Gouda farmer's cheese

Delicious Gouda farm cheeses (raw milk) and farm cheeses (thermalized) are made at the De Jongenhoeve cheese farm in Bergambacht. They also make the tastiest Gouda herb cheeses from the farm.
