    Cheese specialties and foreign cheeses

Welcome to the cheese specialties page. Here you will find many different types and flavors of cheese. At Kaas & Borrelz we put together our own range based on quality. The cheeses you find here have been selected for their origin, composition, character and taste. This category consists of the following subcategories:

    • Herb cheese - these are semi-hard cheeses containing various herbs, nuts or seeds. Examples include peppers, pine nuts, truffle, cumin and more. Herbal cheeses fit perfectly on the snack board and give a completely different dimension to the experience of cheese.
    • Goats & sheep's cheese - The Dutch goat's cheese from Mekkerstee and Chevretta are wonderfully fresh and belong on the left side of the snack board. In addition to the fact that goat cheese is tasty and fresh, its composition is easier to digest, making it less difficult on the stomach. Twisca sheep's cheese is a favorite with connoisseurs who find the cheese especially creamy and choose the cheese because of its well-known taste.
    • Farmer's Cheese - The Heritage Cheese is thermalized during preparation, which gives the Farmer's Cheese its character that so many people love.
    • Cheese specialties - The cheese specialties consist of cheeses that have a certain characteristic and are therefore popular for their taste or texture.
    • Blue Grays - Hate it, or love it! The blue mold is characterized by its blue-colored veins that run through the cheese. The blue roan is a real classic and only welcome on the drinks board for the true enthusiast, because before you know it everything will smell like it!
    • Soft cheese - the cheeses are nice and creamy and soft! This makes them delicious to snack on or spread on toast. In addition, they have a foreign character where origin is extra important.
    • Hard cheese - Hard cheeses are classics that belong on the appetizer board and as an ingredient. After all, they are perfect for grating over pasta, for example.

What is the origin of the cheese?

The cats you find here are selected for their quality and care, and have their origins in various cheesemakers in the Netherlands, France and Italy. Many of these cheesemakers make the cheese from the milk of their own cows. The beans then taste again in this cheese.

    How do you deliver cheese?

We always have the cheese delivered by PostNL or DPD. We always cut the cheese fresh and then vacuum-pack the pieces. The advantage of this is that the cheese is then stored in an airtight environment. This stops the ripening process and prevents mold formation and dehydration. This means that the cheese can be eaten in a refrigerator for several months after purchase. The cheese is always packed in a sturdy box and is often shipped the same day. In addition, each piece of cheese comes with free cheese paper to store the cheese in.
